Dinner Ideas: Stuffed Pepper Soup

  • 1  1/2 – pounds ground beef
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 can (28 ounces) tomato sauce
  • One large tomato, chopped
  • small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked long grain rice
  • chopped green peppers
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
Cook the ground meat until no longer pink.   Drain if you want.  I like to leave a little of the fat.  Stir in the remaining ingredients cook over medium heat until it starts to boil.  Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until peppers are tender.  It will make about 10 servings
