Djazel

Djazel (pronounced Giselle) is a Pop singer/songwriter from Toronto, ON.

Since a young age, Djazel has always nurtured her love for music. She began singing since she could speak, and played a variety of instruments growing up including the recorder, flute, viola and piano. Djazel performed in different musical choirs and bands at school. At age ten, she participated in the Kiwanis Music Competition with her elementary school. In high school, she was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her supporting role in the Greek Dionysus Festival.

Djazel began teaching herself the art of songwriting three years ago and found that she had a natural knack for it. This motivated her to invest into some recording equipment and production software in order to test her musical talent and capabilities.

In April 2013, Djazel crossed paths with CEO Steve Clarke of Clarke Records online through a mutual acquaintance. Djazel contacted Steve Clarke and sent him two short demos which she had recorded herself. Steve Clarke invited Djazel for a meeting shortly after, where he recorded another demo and one of Djazel’s original songs (“The Hurt”). Feeling that she had enough talent and potential for success within the music industry, Steve Clarke welcomed Djazel to the Clarke Records family.

On March 4, 2014 Djazel released her first full-length, self-titled album worldwide. Determined to stand out as an artist and take her career to the next level, Djazel has also taken the role of budding business woman to her own record label/music and entertainment company, dubbed DjazProdukshunz. She’s been learning more about recording and production in order to record/produce her own work as well as the work of other artists. Her latest single ‘Never Get Lost’, which Djazel wrote, produced and recorded herself, is now available on iTunes, Google Play, and all other digital music outlets.
