Illy Ali

Illy Ali began his rap career as a member of the 4:A.M. Astronauts, formerly known as Da F.A.M., Forever About Money. After the release of their controversial mixtape “The Best in Buffalo” they began to perform around the WNY area at various clubs and colleges. The Astronauts had a few spins on college radio but, everything changed after Illy graduated from Canisius College. He decided to move to Atlanta in hopes of sharing his music with an even larger market. Unfortunately, the rest of the Astronauts were reluctant to join him down south. Therefore, the move also symbolized the start of his solo career. In 2010 he released his 1st solo mixtape, Sandwhich Bag Shawty. The mixtape title caught the attention of many and left listeners looking forward to more Sandwhich Bag Music. After a long wait Illy was ready to give the people what they wanted. He started the new year by releasing his debut album, Sandwhich Bag Shawty which can be downloaded from Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, or any of your favorite online stores. Furthermore, he completed the Sandwhich Bag Shawty Saga by dropping SBS 2 on datpiff.com a month later as a thank you to all those who supported the album. Illy along with his production partner, Anthymonthetrack, makes beats, writes songs, and develops talent! Truth be told he has aspirations of being one of the new faces of hip hop.
