Jay Mixx is a rap artist from Jacksonville,Fl. Raised in Jacksonboro,S.C(Jacktown) He started rapping at 14,or should I say writing.This made the transition to making rap songs very easy. Once he moved to Jacksonville in 2000 and a friend heard him spit.He was then introduced to Bang’em Ent.,one of the first indie labels in Jacksonville,and was signed on. He was then featured on the 2nd compilation from the label “Bang’em Where Hang’m & Slang’em;The Saga Continues” and featured on the title track of the album.In 2003 the lable head was arrested on federal charges and the lable went down. After continuing to make music in a home studio but not really promoting it. Jay has emerged once again to bring to you raw,no gimmicks just pure rap at it’s core with a self promotion agenda to take rap back!
