jCoasta aka Coasta Coast

Rap/Hip hop and R&B artist, originally from Missouri, grew up on the West Coast from southern California to the Portland Oregon area. He first started rapping and making beats at a young age with long time friend Simple and quickly adapted style and lyrical abilities from constantly listening to favorites like Ice Cube, Nas, Bone-Thugs, Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, DMX, and of course B.i.g and Pac. In early 2003 Coasta moved back to Palo Alto CA, and finished his Junior year at Palo Alto High School, where he met close friend Moli-B aka Mr. SixFif. Coasta instantly gained reputation as credible lyricist by fearlessly hopping into lunch time freestyle cyphers within the first week of his enrollment at Paly High. Coasta’s style really started to develop into a unique sound, because of the constant freestyle exposure, thanks to Moli-B. On a consistent basis Coasta and Moli-B would rap for groups of people with P-Tha-Fool (Pittsburgh, CA) and AG Cubano (MAYBACH LATINO).

He got his foot into the door in 2008 when he landed a co-promotion/concert deal with formally Chubby Green’s Records from San Carlos CA, one of the many small cities located in the west Bay Area between San Jose and San Francisco. The deal had him promoting and selling tickets for a concert featuring THE JACKA and performing in a concert featuring ANDRE NICKATINA at the famous TOONS NIGHT CLUB in San Jose CA. He brought to the stage a variety of styles featuring PETE ONE from Mountain View CA, and D-SOUTH aka Kodiak from Atlanta GA.
