Pulsator – take notice of the name! Before you know it, you will be sucked into a universe of blues and rock’n’roll, and you won’t get out easily.

The band was formed in 2012 as a four-piece set-up. Keyboards and a horn section was added in quick succession, and there are now nine men working hard to set the audience on fire. All members have long and varied musical experience, and this adds a lot of facets to the finished product. The band is dripping of energy, and all the ingredients melt together in a big pot of musical enjoyment.

Pulsator exclusively performs original material, mostly written by singer/ guitarist/ harmonica player Frank Sæterhaug.

Our music is aired on local radio stations rapidly, and we have even managed to be aired in the UK and US. So we are really happy about that. We do gigs mostly in local scenes/festivals in and around Trondheim because we don’t have time to travel so much because of our families.

Our latest LP, (Nine)  was recorded during different sessions at Sørgården Studio in 2016-17, represents most of the band’s musical reach. 3 songs on this album have been recorded and released on earlier EP`s. The LP`s side 1, (The Black side) is filled with Rock Tunes and side 2, (The Blue Side) is the bluesy side. This album can be described as a Classic Rock album which is inspired by the rock music ala Stones from the 70’s. But it also have the inspiration from the blues music.

The album nine got nice reviews in the local newspaper, (Adresseavisa) and the reviewer said that Pulsator is the best bluesband in Trondheim Town because we don`t play the standard blues structures, but we do it in our own way by making bluestunes that have a little more melodic structures. Also in (Blues News) a Norwegian blues magazine we got a good review that in overall said that they love the freewheelin blues and the 70/80`s rock we represent and that the album has a great jam feel. 4 stars of six in both reviews.

Now a days we are working on brand new material that will be featured on the next album that will be released maybe in the end of 2019 or in 2020. But before that there will be a live video of a new song called, (The Holy Grail) from our latest gig that will be posted. I`l come back to the video of the new song when it’s ready.
